Thank God no one was hurt. Just as I was thinking of what to write today, opportunity presented itself in front of me. But this is the last thing I would want to happen. For the first time in my life, I witnessed a car crash within a stone’s throw from where I was standing.

A lady driver trying for a u-turn without pre-caution and a mindless driver on the oppossite side thought he was the king of the road are the main characters of the disaster today.

This has got to stop. Traffic accidents are on a daily basis here. Too many nationalities, each with a different definition of what safe driving is.

Too bad to note, traffic accidents are the leading cause of death in the UAE — this terrifies me to no end. I drove for more than 5 years while in Japan where car crashes are very rare, it lands in the evening news whenever it occurs. If we feature all the accidents that happen in UAE roads everyday, we will be having an all-nighter.
