We interrupt our regular scheduled programming to bring you a public service announcement: As of this writing, hubby dear is holding the key to our CAR!!
Instead of the company giving him a company car on September (that means we have to brave the hottest months nah..most probably hibernate at the temperature controlled home), he earned so many trust points to have his boss buy him the vrrrooom this early!
Nothing fancy but as long as it has wheels and an aircon, I am veery OK with that! I’m so happy I can’t type all my feelings (as if!!)…hee hee.
But seriously, no more sweating like a dog in the morning to catch the bus!! and more miles to go on weekends!! Yay!
…now if only Al Maktoum bridge is not too congested in the afternoon…
This is the bridge that connects the Deira side of Dubai and Bur Dubai. As you know there is this body of water called the Dubai creek separating me and M. He works in the other side: his office is here and have to find ways to cross the creek faster to get to me so we could both go home happy.

Tomorrow, Pristine is going the movie house to see Shrek. Someone in the house is not too happy with that.

I don’t know, hubby being Japanese and all, does not like Disney cartoon. You all know how Japanese animes tend to look like real people, details and all. I’m not talking about Pokemon or Naruto. I am actually referring to the anime movies of the famous Hayao Miyazaki, renowned for Spirited Away (????????), Princess Mononoke (?????), and among others. Hubby M sees disney characters like bunch of rubber-like things…dunno, better he elaborate that for all of you!

But he doesn’t mind the classics - P’s ever favorite The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Snow White, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast…but the recent rush of Disney cartoons just don’t deliver. We borrowed Open Season DVD and had to stop the dvd player in the first few minutes of the movie, thanks to Ashton Kutcher’s just plain noise. Nemo passed, some family values added in compensated for Ellen deGeneres’ nosy (noisy) character. We did not attempt to rent Madagascar, Brother Bear, Lilo and Stitch, Cars…
Although we don’t have a television set in our house, we do watch DVD played from the computer every once in a while.
