Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt - Pink

This week’s theme: Pink

Japan in Spring. Very beautiful, very pink.

Photo courtesy of a friend who sent this picture to me to pacify my longing for things Japanese after spending my first spring outside Japan for the first time in 10 years. I really appreciate the time he took this picture on a weekday because if not, it would be too crowded with people from different parts of the country to see the sakura in full bloom (time of blooming usually 2-3 weeks later than in Tokyo).

With this picture, I feel that I have the beauty of the flowers all to myself. :-)

Taken April 2007; Matsumoto, Japan.
