Last night, Dubai experience heavy downpour! I asked for rain and seems like so many people answered my call and sent rain all at once!

Lastly, today March 28th is Earth Hour day. My family will be participating and between 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm, we will be turning our lights off. Better cook dinner quickly and settle in bed, have candlelit bedtime stories?
Hopefully, more people in Dubai will take part. You can just imagine the amount of electricity consumed (and wasted), especially on those tall (even under construction) buildings!

I first read about this Earth Hour thing on one of the Thursday Thirteen blogs this week. I had never heard of it before (or just didn’t remember). But as much as I like the idea, I don’t think I will get my parents to switch off the lights and the TV tonight and sit around an hour in the dark. I just don’t see that happening.

We are excited to participate in Earth Hour tonight, too! Four of my girls are really into all things ‘green’ so they are especially excited about this.
We plan to play card and board games by lantern light, and think about a ‘greener’ future for all people.
