I’m happy to be able to update to Wordpress 2.7 and while still in the middle of exploring all the new changes, I am enjoying it so far. There are really some nice touches with the new version. The update contains a number of new features and functions but most notably – the admin has been redesigned and made very customizable.
I’ll use this space to thank my bloggy friend Sandra (aka as Samulli) for helping me get through the updating process. Wait, wrong choice of words, she did not “help me get through”, she did EVERYTHING. Not just once but TWICE. The first time was when I attempted to update to 2.4 (I think) and pretty messed up. I climbed on top of the hill and gave a cry (literally) for help to Sandra since I kind of wiped out my blog from the internet universe. My voice reached all the way to Germany and she was so kind to help me get out of my misery, without calling me names. I tell you, nothing can be so appalling and shocking and saddening than to erase your own blog. A few days ago, she hinted she’s enjoying 2.7 and wanting me to enjoy it too.
Thank you very much for all the help, S! You are a life saver.
So, what’s the coolest feature in the latest WP version? It has the Core Update functionality which will notify users of new versions and let them upgrade their blogs with a single click! (which means my friend S can rest and go on with her life knowing I will not bother her again with updates!)

Did you update to 2.7.1 already? I used the build in upgrade function this time, and even though it took quite a while to finish it went without a hitch. Nifty.
I’m liking the new wordpress. I ended up uploading a plug-in into the wordpress platform in order to upgrade. I couldn’t wait for my internet provider to furnish the update. I’m enjoying every minute of the blogging process.

Hi, It is great to use wordpress 2.7 I have also a bloag on wordpress 2.7. I also get a links to my site from this blog which is very good for me. So use Wordpress 2.7 and get links through it.
