This week’s theme: Part of me

My daughter took this photo, with focus on my arm, cutting my face/head in the picture so you can see only a part of me.
I was curious so I tried henna body painting (for free during our desert safari) - – women in Dubai have this on the palms of their hands or at the back or just anywhere on their bodies. The henna artist finished her work on me in less than a minute. Fast, painless and comes off after a week or two.

Very cool! Now the henna I would do, just not a real tattoo.
i guess that is a trial run ?
Oh, if you meant a trial run for a permanent tattoo, then NO it’s not. I don’t intend to permanently ink my body.

My son got a henna dragon once, and then got a bit of a tan. Once it wore off he was left with a paler dragon where that skin hadn’t tanned. It looked really cool.

Nice tattoo design. When you say that it was finished in under a minute, did the artist use a stencil or draw it on freehand? Because with the latter I would be quite impressed if she did that in less than a minute.
and you’re really not tempted now to get a real tattoo sometime? (j/k)
No stencil!! It was made by freehand. The henna liquid mixture was put in a plastic with a hole in the tip (much like when putting icing on a cake) and she really finished it in a jiffy.Impressive!

Great henna tatt, how much practice that artist must have had to be able to do such beautiful work in such a short time. Such a pity they wash off…but I guess you could always go back for more – different one each time!
