The blogosphere is one big conversation. I believe that if people take the time to read your blog, you should reciprocate the gesture by responding to them.

Before I even stumbled upon the You Comment, I Reply movement, most (if not all) of you have received a reply from me for the comments you leave on this little blog , but still I like to promote this idea. After all, it feels great to be heard, the writer and the reader likewise, isn’t it?
Although the joy to express my thoughts and share my ideas led me to blogging, it is the interaction with different kinds of people that made me stick to it.

COOL Idea! And yes you always reply! And I always try to do the same!
Excellent philosophy!
You are really good at responding to comments! I love the idea behind this movement.
It’s a great idea! But do you reply to a reply, and reply to a reply on a reply…..
I try to respond to most comments personally. There are some, like Leisa brings up, that seem to not need a reply. And sometimes it goes in phases. Sometimes the best I can do is get my blog post up! Sometimes life gets in the way of responding to every comment!
hard to believe, but i’m kinda shy when it comes to commenting but i’m in the phase of getting out of my shell and commenting on the blogs of people i have bot even seen or known before… a friend inspired me to do this.
Cool idea. Its nice to know that people read your comments and take the time to respond.
One thing that will help this along is that you check the little box in your profile that allows your email to be shown in the replies, so it makes it easier to respond.
This is a great idea that everyone should embrace! It’s so much more fun when you make friends and converse within your blog!
I found this too and made a note of it on my comments page.
It’s a great idea. I even have a plugin to help me do it.
I think this is a great movement. I have commented on so many new blogs where they don’t reply. Many bloggers use the accuse that they could not find anything to comment on and they did not want to comment for the sake of commenting. I respect that, but my blogging pattern is so diverse that I can not understand how a blogger could hide behind that accuse with me. There has to be something on my blog worthy of feedback. I don’t want anyone to comment for the sake of commenting, but if I visit your blog the least you can do is visit my blog surf through my archives and find something that interests you. I realize I have now written a post in your comment section so I’m going to copy and paste this into a post on my own blog, follow my own advice and find something else on your blog to comment on.
Hi! I totally agree! I’ve been doing that for ages, and was unaware that there was an ‘actual’ movement out there.
Thanks for pointing it out!
Glad I found this. Thanks!
I love getting comments on my blog. I know from my site tracker that visitors are coming, but leaving a comment is the icing on the cake! And I especially like when the commenters start conversing amongst themselves. I like this post, mind if I use the idea on my blog?
