There’s not much to say about my first day of work here in Dubai. Everything seems vague. All I remember is that I was struggling to catch up with my walking, doubling my usual walking speed amidst this crazy heels I am wearing trying to arrive in the office on time. Being late on the first day of work is so not sexy.
It was quite chilly in the early hours of the morning. I told some friends (living in Japan) and they hardly believed me. But January is “winter” in Dubai. No snow but the below 20C is already cold for them. Well, when the temperatures rise to as much as over 40’s in summer (July-Sept.), a morning with 17C is undoubtedly cold for the locals!
