I am sure I paid my bills promptly but

by Grace on November 3, 2008

Today we woke up with the sad fact that water was not coming out from any of our faucets or in the shower.

What did we do to deserve this!? Ok, that was too melodramatic, sorry, but no water early in the morning, on a week day? @#!&*$@!#$%^

There is an endless supply of water in the fountains around the city and suddenly, no water in our flat?

How am I going to cook for our breakfast, brush our teeth, and uh, shower!?

I called the landlord at 6 am and got a really rude response. Figures, I think they aren’t called landLORD if they aren’t arrogant enough to think of themselves as almighty. Thank God (the real one) water came back at just before 7am. I still have no idea why it happened and not sure if it won’t happen again.

Usually, when the water isn’t running in our home we look out the window to see what’s going on. In most cases, the fire hydrants are on and we would find ourselves calling the fire department to turn them off. Either that or the basement is flooded. And then that would mean we would have to call the Housing Authority to fix that issue.

Sorry to hear about your situation.
