Too many lead foot and jungle trained drivers in Dubai
By Grace on Jul 21, 2008 in driving in UAE
The number of senseless deaths in Dubai roads continue to increase when a driver of an overspeeding van lost control of the vehicle plumetting it to the opposite side of the road before being hit head-on claiming the lives of five people last week.
My husband and I are driving with the utmost caution at all times but we are still scared. We trust our own driving but what about the other drivers around us? The news says radars in Dubai spotted more than 300,000 traffic violations in just 3 months.
Simple computation would make that, on the average, 3,333 traffic offences including speeding and jumping red lights made in ONE single day!
I am speechless.

Hmmmm, about now I’d be thinking how nice public transportation is looking.

Wow. That IS scary.
We just returned from Spain and they drive like crazies there too, but I don’t think it’s that bad.

That’s the same feeling everytimes we go back to Thailand. I’m used to it though but my husband can’t wrap his mind around the crazy drivers.

weird but on my google reader your last post is about numbers and your name! When I come from Google reader to your site, It gives me an error.
Anyhow, I did my name and with my married name I am an 8, which IS NOT ME WHAT-so-ever…so I did my maiden name and it was a 9, which is more accurate!
We have crazy drivers here. Everyone in Ca thinks that they are in A BIGGER hurry then the next driver…drives me nuts
