Today, I broke a record

by Grace on October 5, 2008

It’s back to work and school for us and the other UAE creatures today. We left home at 7:20 pm and faced terrible traffic. The much anticipated traffic was worse than what I had expected. I arrived in the office 30 minutes late, for the first time in 22 months, I got late.

My workplace is less than 10 kilometers away from home. I couldn’t imagine others who had to travel twice.

Speaking of work, it’s back to normal now – work times have stretched back to until 6 pm (that’s 8.5 hours in office prison). Last Ramadan, I only have to work 4-5 hours and scooter off at 3 pm. It feels strange to go out of the office and see the sun already jetted off to the west.

That sounds miserable. I hate sitting in traffic!

We changed the clocks here last night, I’m really not looking forward to how early it’s going to get dark now.

First! I love the new website. It loads right away – no trouble at all! whoot whoot!

Traffic is really awful. I’ve heard that it’s worst in Dubai. ((hug)) You’re awesome for doing it.
