the new bridge thrill

by Grace on February 26, 2008

My mother saw an article featured in Yahoo News regarding the new arch bridge to be built in Dubai starting this March. The article had some new images of the what would be longest arch bridge in the world:

Looks really fantastic, don’t you think?

My mom looked at the photo with knitted eyebrows and said, “That is scary. Do you mean cars have to go up and down when crossing the bridge?”

Huh? up and down? What made you think like that? I asked her. “Well look at that roller coaster-like form!”

She was not joking. I had to stand up and look for her eyeglasses.

That bridge looks awesome. I wouldn’t expect anything less stellar being build in Dubai, though.
Your moms idea is actually funny. I would love to take my car up and down those arches. Talk about a thrilling ride to work in the morning. LOL

That has to be one of the most incredible bridges I’ve ever seen. I believe Dubai or UAE are also in the middle of building out islands that look like a map of the world. Incredibly architectural and engineering brilliance being demonstrated overseas.

Uh, well… When I first saw your pic about this bridge a while back, I thought that, too! I was wondering how they were going to keep people from getting sick, not to mention keep the cars from speeding down the hill.

So yeah… I’m not seeing a “loser” emoticon anywhere, LOL!!!

Ew. Just looking at the bridge makes me nauseated. I’m terrified of bridges.
