Week 7: The importance of rest

My week 7 of the Turbulence Training Transformation Contest is less spectacular, workout wise. I’ve been really tired from work but still forced myself to go to the gym. I observed that I have not been able to perform well and missed the required number of repetitions and sets. My knees wobbled during intervals. I stopped midway and listened to my body.

On Wednesday, my stomach was cooking up a storm and I had to throw up several times during the day. No, I am not pregnant, in fact, the opposite – just the usual things that happen on particular days of the month. Those days when I feel incapacitated to do almost anything.

So, I didn’t (wasn’t able to) workout on Wednesday, Thursday, did Wii Fit at home on Friday with Pristine and rested fully on Saturday. Still watched what I eat to keep everything at bay – I didn’t have that much appetite anyway so had natural damage control. Funny how even chocolate doesn’t help.

The 12-week transformation contest is halfway done. I am bracing myself up for the last few weeks and looking forward to doing the Turbulence Training again when I come to the gym tomorrow, with renewed strength. I miss the adrenaline rush!

How was your week, health-wise?
