love and kisses and other stuff meme

Karen from Pediascribe had an open tag that looked very interesting and worth jumping into.

Here goes:

Who was your first love?
Well I am going to assume that the word “love” here means something that makes your heart jump out of your shirt and the word “first” meaning when I was young enough to NOT know the real meaning of love. Whatever.

Ok now to my answer. I probably had lots of loves but none of them knew or they knew but ignored me? I thought I loved someone though, only to realize it was just an infatuation and I can’t stop laughing right now when I look at what I wrote in my diary 15 years ago. We met during summer vacation. I have not seen him (and I refuse to see him) for so long.

Who was your first kiss and when?
Could not tell! Only my sister knows.

Who was your first prom date?
Prom partner you mean. Our high school prom do not require us to bring dates and instead we are paired involuntarily to whoever is compatible height-wise. Unromantic I know.

My first prom partner was Edilberto T. He was one year older than I am. Tall, dark and…never mind.

Who was your first roommate?
I never had any room mates. Am I missing out on something?

What was your first job?
For part time job, I worked in a burger chain similar to McDonalds. I was at the counter, taking orders and being a cashier too. I was so serious with that work I did not notice it was my own father in front of me ordering burgers and fries. I placed his order, got his money. He was staring at me all the time and I did not recognize him because I was too busy getting things right!

My first real job after college was for Epson. I was a programmer.

What was your first car?
A Toyota Sienta, it’s a family car but I drove it everyday to work and hubby said it’s mine so I did not argue with him.

When did you go to your first funeral?
When I was in the 6th grade, my friend’s mother died and I went to her funeral. I never looked at her mom inside the casket because I am casket-phobic. Seriously. I have never seen anyone inside a casket — and don’t wish to do so.

How old were you when you first moved away from your hometown?
I moved away when I was 19. I went to Japan to study.

Who was your first-grade teacher?
Mrs. Virginia B. Lim. I’ll never forget that. She was pregnant that time and very cranky. I thought pregnant ladies have the worst temper in the world.

When you sneaked out of the house for the first time, who was it with?
I have never done that. Maybe someday I will?

Who was the first person to send you flowers?
My husband. I should add the first and the ONLY one to give me flowers!! He gave me 23 roses on my 23rd birthday and continues to give me the same number of roses as my age, every year. I have asked him to stop doing that as my vase could not hold 30 flowers anymore.

When was the first time you got drunk?
Probably on my welcome party at Epson. Too much sa-ke can be dangerous to your health! I had three-days hangover from hell.

What was the first thing you did this morning?
Kiss my sleeping daughter.

I picked this as an open tag, it will remain an open tag!

So you’re also afraid of looking into the caskets! I used to be very scared and I never looked but when my grandmother died, then some really close relatives, I had to take up all the courage I got and had to see them. :(

Too funny about not recognizing your own father.

FWIW, I’ve never looked into a casket either. Thankfully open caskets are not part of Jewish tradition, so this isn’t an issue very often.

Robin’s last blog post..Is it wrong that I find it really funny
