Artist Feature & Giveaway: Dallas Shaw

A LITTLE ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Florida-based designer and artist Dallas Shaw is known for her paintings. Currently she has two collections of paintings- one on custom made canvases that is bright and modern, and titled after song lyrics. Another called the Vintage collection that is on vintage wallpaper and rare textiles. She also makes notecards, fashion illustrations, watercolors, and tees.

Dallas creates artwork for the young, stylish art enthusiast.

Quoting Dallas:

I find inspiration everywhere and always carry three different cameras in my purse which is a bit excessive, but I always have to get the right shot because color is so important to me.

2 mannequin January 9, 2009 at 6:25 pm: Visiting her website, I immediately head for the Vintage collection. I can’t figure it out, so it’s a good thing, the photo of the framed key hanging on the tree. It makes me think of all the possibilities and to me, that’s what art is.

In the Etsy shop, I was happy to see the silhouette notecards. Since we moved into a Cape Cod , in trying to keep with the period style, I’ve been ga ga over silhouettes.
