Aster and Sage is a shop that makes fabric handbags and accessories featuring modern applique designs and bright floral fabrics. They use recycled/sustainable material in most of our products, and everything is made in the USA.

Linda Yesline, the talented lady behind Aster and Sage studied industrial design while she was a student at Rhode Island School of Design. Experimenting with fabric structural containers led to her interest in designing handbags. Her eco-friendly bags and accessories incorporate recycled materials with a clean-edged style.

Quoting Linda:

We love using material with recycled content. Recycled means less waste, of course, but there’s something exciting about using material that has existed before.

The recycled fabrics in our current product line are polyesters made from reclaimed fabric scraps and soda bottles.  Aster and Sage welcomes you recycling ideas. If you have some, email to info at asterandsage dot com.

SOME OF THEIR COOL PRODUCTS:

Nina combines the comfort, convenience and sensibility of a messenger bag with the style of a contemporary handbag (making you look stylish and smart!)

Its amenities include: an adjustable shoulder strap (wear Nina like a traditional handbag or messenger-style across your torso), an inner zippered pocket, a snap to hold keys, and a rubber-lined pocket to keep a cell phone or sunglasses secure and close-at-hand.

Angie is a smart little bag because it has a pinch closure just like an old-fashioned coin purse. Slide your phone or ipod in the case and, lo and behold, it can’t fall out! But pinch the sides of the bag and you have easy access to its contents— it’s a kind of magical experience. There’s a pocket on the reverse side for quick access to, say, a couple of bills and a Metro Card.
