Hi, Grace,
I enjoyed reading about Japan in the summer, and your husband's family's culture. The pictures were excellent. Pristine is a brave girl!

Wow! Thank you for sharing the other side of Japan.

How cool is that to have your own family temple! What city do they live in? Is it far from Tokyo? It seems like this is the type of Japan that I would love to visit and explore.

Delightful post and gorgeous pictures. Japan looks absolutely enchanting.

Visiting cemeteries is one of my favorite things to do. Gravestones are like mini displays of architecture to me.

That is beautiful-Thank you so much for sharing. People think it's weird over here that I love cemeteries so much, but there is just something that makes me feel at peace when I'm walking around one. Those cemeteries in Japan look amazing! I'm going to have to learn more about that ceremony :D

Oh wow, those pictures of Pristine by the graves are just stunning, especially the ones of her with your MIL. When she gets older she'll really treasure those. I used to spend every spring break with my grandparents going to a bunch of different cemeteries to see where our ancestors were buried. Now that they're both in failing health I love that I have the memories of that time with them and the stories they told me about our family. :)
