some fate huh?

My aunt who came to Dubai last June 27  to look for a nanny job immediately found one with a lovely Australian family. She was happy there but when it was time to apply for the right visa, things got sticky and we found out that her employers can’t sponsor her because of some silly immigration rules.

Both parties are devastated as they learned to like her very much and my aunt adored her employers especially their 4 year old daughter. The kid was quite disturbed when my aunt went away.

But as the saying goes, when God closes doors, he opens windows. I posted an ad yesterday and after a few minutes so many people called her number. This morning, someone picked her up from my house, her new employer (also Australian) and they took her to their house — in PALM JUMEIRAH!!

How cool can that be? I mean, my aunt,  gets to live in that coveted resort every-single-day (have to add she lives with a really nice family)!

Man, I am so jealous! ;-)

That sounds really nice! Maybe you can show us pictures from there – I never saw it when I was there.

How fun for her. I would love to go to that place sometime. The first time I heard of it I couldn’t believe it was real!

Hugs,
Holly

I believe that everything happens for a reason even if we don’t understand it at the time. I’m so happy for all of you!

HI Grace
I have been so deliquent in reading blogs! I am so much more into my ‘facebook’ world right now. So, you can imagine my surprise when I went to my google reader that shows me who’s updated their blogs and you had 20 new posts! I don’t think I managed to read through them all, unfortunately, I need to be cleaning my house for my brother’s arrival in 4 days…I shouldn’t even be on here now….. sounds like things continue to be interesting for you and your family. I know from the ‘mixed ethnic’ marriages that we’ve encountered here, that the language issue really does become difficult to deal with when the relatives arrive. I hope you guys are sorting it out and getting through it.
p.s. I have the new HP book, but all three of my girls are waiting impatiently for each other to finish it so they can have their turn! So… sorry, can’t mail it to you. :-)
…better go do some more cleaning and stop being distracted!

I’ve heard so many good things about that man-made island. Working there is like being on a paid vacation. Congratulations to your aunt for landing a job in a nice location.

If your aunt will have the time to take pixes- please post! I’m excited to see the place- isn’t it amazing creating an island and turning it to paradise?…
