I'm glad your daughter ended up having a wonderful birthday. We're off to church tonight at 8:00, home to open a present or two, snap a family photo, and then I'm back to church for Midnight Mass. Filipino friends have a little salo-salo in one of the condo units here in our place. Maybe we'll just hang out with them until Christmas eve, chatting with the moms, "lak-lakan" for the dads, karaoke but not until midnight as we are in a Muslim community.
