Lokum (Turkish delight) and Baklava are the first things that come to mind when Turkish sweets are mentioned. We got loads of it yesterday at home from my husband’s office. Delegates from their Turkey office came and brought the sweets and with much curiosity and our love for desserts, the sweets were very much welcomed and loved.
Before I came to Dubai, I only knew of Turkish delight from the movie The Chronicles of Narnia. When I first tasted it after I came to Dubai, I understood how the boy got tempted to sell his siblings to the Snow Queen in exchange for the treats. I’d say I couldn’t blame him. Don’t hate me for telling that!

I love lokum. You can get it here too, but the stuff I used to bring back from Turkey (when I was working there) was better. Enjoy!
