The reason they were looking at me suspiciously

by Grace on February 12, 2009

This morning, my daughter’s teacher touched my belly and asked, “Is there anything here?”

I was taken aback. Huh? Ah, yes, uhm…fats? * cough *

Turned out that Pristine had been spreading a rumor at school that mom’s belly is growing (yikes, better do something with this belly fast!) so she’s going to be a big sister soon.  The best big sister – to not one but two siblings! She already even prepared names for the girl and boy baby (supposedly) inside mom’s belly!

Hey, before everyone starts to coo, I am NOT pregnant. I just happen to have an overly excited and very imaginative daughter. I wonder what other stories she has told her teachers…

What is the most shocking thing your children told about you?

Too funny… She should write a blog. Her imagination deserves to be put on paper. But I guess you’ve already done that for her.

I don’t have kids so I cannot answer the question. But cheers to the joy they bring to the world.

ROFL. At least it wasn’t because you actually did look pg with twins!

If it’s any comfort, when my mom was P’s age she told the nuns at a nearby convent that her mother was sad because her (my mother’s) NON-EXISTANT twin sister had died! They rushed over to comfort my grandmother and found her singing out loud while she did the ironing in her shirtsleeves.

My mom was grounded for quite a long time LOL.

Ha ha ha ha ha! My son isn’t old enough to do that quite yet… but I’m sure it will come!
I do remember announcing my mom’s age to all the people in the grocery store on her birthday… she’s an older mom so I’m sure she wasn’t pleased to have that number said aloud! ;)
