This week’s theme: Pink
Japan in Spring. Very beautiful, very pink.
Photo courtesy of a friend who sent this picture to me to pacify my longing for things Japanese after spending my first spring outside Japan for the first time in 10 years. I really appreciate the time he took this picture on a weekday because if not, it would be too crowded with people from different parts of the country to see the sakura in full bloom (time of blooming usually 2-3 weeks later than in Tokyo).
With this picture, I feel that I have the beauty of the flowers all to myself.

How could I forget my photos of Sakura? lol I have tons of them:) They’re beautiful indeed! Nice shot! TFS:)

Oh what a lovely photo! When I went to Japan years ago it was the wrong time of year for the cherry blossoms, and I was always sorry I missed them.

This is stunning. We love anime and of course often see the “Cherry blossom” episodes.

We lived in Dc last year and I discovered the cherry blossom trees there were a gift from the Mayor of Tokyo in 1912. We were in DC for 4 years and not once did we make it downtown to see the trees in bloom!!!

Oh my God! Those sakura are very pretty! And I’m very impressed that despite the flowers in full bloom, there aren’t any fallen flowers on the road!
