2. A raisin dropped in a glass of fresh champagne will bounce up and down continuously from the bottom of the glass to the top. (I bet you’ll try this tonight)
3. Money isn’t made out of paper, it’s made out of cotton.
4. Warren Beatty and Shirley MacLaine are brother and sister.
5. Orcas (killer whales) kill sharks by torpedoing up into the shark’s stomach from underneath, causing the shark to explode.
6. Chocolate affects a dog’s heart and nervous system; a few ounces will kill a small sized dog.
7. Leonardo da Vinci could write with one hand and draw with the other at the same time.
8. The ’spot’ on 7UP comes from its inventor, who had red eyes. He was albino.
9. A tiny amount of liquor on a scorpion will make it instantly go mad and sting itself to death.

(Oh, I am sure Donald will be banned in Dubai too! But what about Winnie the Pooh?)
I didn’t mean to sound like I’m smarty pants, I didn’t know these things either!

Very interesting list. Most were new to me, but I acuatlly knew that Shirley MacLaine and Warren Beatty were siblings.
Good one!

Oh, that flashy Donald Duck!
I am glad the children of the world are keeping McDonald’s afloat–and I will keep the raisin afloat later!

I am so gonna try that raisin in the champagne. I knew about #s 3,6 and 10. Interesting List.
Well, I knew a few of those, but the rest are very interesting. i hope I won’t have to test the quicksand one any time soon.

1. Why am I not surprised by this? I mean all the advertising is practically for kids. And what else would a parent buy for their kid other than a cheap happy meal that comes with a free toy?
2. I don’t drink champagne and I cannot recall the last time I had a raisin to put into a glass of one but I have to do this at my next dinner party… or should I say the next dinner party I am invited to.
12. Very useful. I’ve never been near quick sand but next time I watch a movie I’m sure to scream out raise your legs and lay on your back. Not that they can hear me… But this random piece of knowledge is something to mention at a social event.
The only one on this list I knew for sure was no clocks in the Las Vegas casinos – lol. Great one!

I knew some of those, but the raisin in champagne I didn’t know. And, no, I won’t try it – I don’t like champagne. The quicksand fact is interesting, too, but not enough for me to try it – and if I ever need it, I won’t remember it. *sigh*
Happy TT!
The only ones that I knew already were # 4 (my mum was a Warren Beaty fan…tho’ personally I couldn’t understand it…)and # 6- from working at a vet years ago, and having a dog. There is special ‘dog chocolate’ but ours seems to be happy without it.
I enjoyed your list- a great T13!
Mine’s up too now.

I knew number 3 and number 10. Number 9 is fascinating! And as for number 11… they don’t have windows either. It’s actually really depressing inside there even if they do try to make them fancy.
