13 EVENTS THAT HAPPENED IN 2007 (Part Two)

1. I migrated to my own domain (this site you are visiting) and started another blog, mostly about parenting and other random stuffs.

2. M gets his first job after 4 months of being a stay-at-home-dad, to which he said is the best time of his life and the most fulfilling job he has ever done.

3. P decided to move out (temporarily because now she is back) – in another room, sleeping beside her grandmother. We co-sleep since she was born so that was a surprising move for me.

4. We made our first trip to the beach and got addicted to it over and over and over again, even when it’s already winter.

5. My mother went to the beach with us and swam/wade for the first time! (She doesn’t like beaches, having lived near one all her single life but I guess the beach in Dubai was tempting enough.)

6. I experienced the horror of Dubai public transport system. Dubai’s buses are not for the faint hearted.

7. The 7th Harry Potter book was released and I am a proud owner of the book and get to read it in 3 days! 8. We experienced our first Ramadan in Dubai and learned some valuable lessons.

9. We got our own car, at last.

10. My mother was diagnosed with hypertension (please know that I am not the cause).

11. It must be caused by the jet planes hovering in the skies that caused her blood pressure to shoot up?

12. A couple of months after our relocation, I had a few things in my mind. Is it worth it? Why are we here? and the things I love and hate about Dubai (written during our third month here)

13. A strong earthquake rocked my in-laws’ town in Japan.

You’ve had a very eventfull year! Here’s to a great year in 2008. BTW- When I wrote my TT, I thought of you, not only because of Dubai, but because we both live in a Desert!!

I would love to go to the beach in the middle of Winter! Sounds like Heaven to me!

Happy Thursday, Grace!

You sure were brave to move to Dubai. It sounds very exotic and a little bit scairty!

I recently managed to not only evict the littlest one from my bed, but I also seem to have gained an all night sleeper  Congratulations on getting a car, that can add so much needed liberty even if it only takes you to the store for dinner.

Hey great list. You certainly have had your share of experiences this past year.

Thanks for stopping by my site this morning. You asked about how I lost weight.

http://www.sparkpeople.com

It’s a free weight loss program. Very thorough…it has all you need except the willpower.

HAPPY 2008!!

Hi Nicholas,

Yes, there is winter in Dubai! Cooler, perfect weather. No rain, just cloudless blue skies. No snow! Winter or whatever they call the season between December and February is the best here.
