i’m injured

Still very sleepy at 6 a.m. I dragged my butt into the kitchen. I promised my mom I’d wake up early and teach her how to make German Potato Salad, Pristine’s favorite breakfast of late.

As I was opening the bacon with the knife I finally sharpened last night, but instead of making a straight cut to open the plastic, the knife slipped upwards and SLICED my finger big, big time!!! (Don’t ask me how I did it, I was only half-awake!)

What a very bad way of waking me up. Blood spurted, too much actually as it was not just a cut, it was more of my finger flesh sliced, EWWW! I am not too good with seeing blood, even my own! My mother told me to raise my fingers above my heart to stop the bleeding but the blood was still dripping and dripped right into my face!!

Sheesh, I cringe even now, recalling the early morning incident. I cringe more everytime my fore finger touch the letters f, t, b, r, g…etc…and it’s very difficult to shift the position of my fingers as I have been used to touch typing at 60 wpm and all fingers know where they belong!
