In this part of the world, we don’t shiver

by Grace on December 5, 2007

While most people living in the northern hemisphere are either watching snow fall on cedars or sitting in front of their fireplace, we are enjoying the sun, sand and the sea!

The temperatures have definitely gone easy on us desert dwellers and right now, we are blessed to have days that are not so hot and never too cold. It was a very comfortable 24C two weekends ago, perfect for a beach trip without the worry of sunburn.

clear waters!

The waters are as usual very clean, clear and calm with almost no waves at all. Our little girl dropped her googles somewhere, we searched for it and found it because the sea was just so clear we can see everything beneath us, including some fishes! No, the one on the thumbnail pic above is not a fish!

How’s the weather from where you are?

Summer for us as well – no white Christmas here. The last time I saw or touched snow was in 1981.
Although we have been having far more rain than usual.

It’s 12 degrees, (F) and we have 12 inches of snow on the ground and it is cloudy. Quite common for December in New Hampshire!

I would love to be on a beach somewhere. I love the beach any time of year, but especially when the temps are cooler.

Where we are, we are having chilly nights and warm days. We are expecting a rain storm to come through on Friday; that will make our daytime temperatures go down for a few days, then it will warm up again.
