winter is over?

by Grace on February 17, 2008

Without warning, it’s back.

We are having a bit of weather, no not rain, that usual sunny (hot) one again. Last Friday, I wanted to scream, “but it’s still February, dammit!” Temperatures rose to a maximum of around 30C on midday last weekend.

We went to Century and Irish Village for a brunch at one of the restaurants there. The open cafes looked inviting but a good sunscreen and sun glasses is a must. It was glaring hot that day:

Pristine loved the music so much she wouldn’t want to go home!

The midday sun is tolerable with a very cold beer:

Alcohol is not prohibited there as long as you are drinking within the premises and don’t drive home drunk.

The Irish Village at Garhoud is also just beneath the Dubai Tennis Stadium. The Dubai tennis open will be held on February 25- March 8 here. Next year, I’m going to sit on those bleachers and watch Maria Sharapova play!

I am getting out of topic. *sigh*

This is what happens when you try to blog faster than your toothbrush time! Anyway, looks like summer is just around the corner here in desert land. Time to take out those umbrellas, sunscreen lotion and hand towels again!

That’s really the classic beer! I wonder what it tastes like. Heheh. But why am I having this line of thought when I have given up alcohol long ago. Hik!

I can’t believe it’s so hot there already!

Pristine is getting so tall!

Mid day temps are in the 80’s F already! Yikes…(running for cover). Pristine has grown up so fast. I just don’t seem to notice it much since I am with her all the time.
