sugar rush aborted

What’s the sane-st thing to do when you are dead bored sitting in an igloo office, sleepy and tired resulting from sleepless night without proper a/c, having to wake up so many times to change kid’s clothes and own?

Go buy, nibble, gobble, linger on a chocolate.

So I hit the choc button in my keyboard and went out. I had no choice. The office was too cold, work load was too heavy, I needed some fresh air and unbelievably longing for the warmth of the sun. On my way to the elevator, I met the chummy lady working in the same building. It has been more than a couple of months since I last saw her. I stopped for a chat.

She told me I’ve lost some weight. Reader comments with phrases of objection will be deleted ;-P

Hey, I did not pay her to say that! I did not solicit her opinion and she said the magic words!! For someone who has been struggling to go back to her pre-baby weight, whatever that weight was, the words were more than enough to make my day. It was also a wakeup call. Just in time when I was about to buy sweets and put on some grams. Hey, I am no Nicole Richie so these are no exagerrated thoughts.

I still went out. Got to see some sun but didn’t buy my browns. It would melt on my way back, anyway.

  1. Oh, I am so proud of you. I don’t know how you managed to “forget” all about the chocies. Once I decided to get a doseof the brown things and don’t get it, I will have sleepless nights UNTIL I get my fill … you go girl!!!

  3. Hey G–what a wonderful feeling when you resist doing something that might make you feel uncomfortable later!

Thanks to the thoughtfulness of that lady!
