the Monday big blah

Lately, I have been loaded with work. Fully-loaded that I am in full swing of posting at least one-lengthy blog per day, haha…the irony, I know. I told you, I work well under pressure. Nuff said.

Seriously, THE BOSS’s voice is echoing right after he sat on his chair. I bet even the passengers of the commercial plane hovering above our building on the way to DXB airport can hear his big voice by now. Don’t really care if he is angry and screaming, as long as it is not directed to ME. But today, I am involved…more or less. Ok, less but still involved.

Our associates in Japan had been playing the easy game on us lately. Documents ranging from meeting minutes to layouts to tenders have come raining on us — in the original form that is written in Japanese. Before, they would religiously translate their documents to the universal language before sending to the outside world…until I entered the picture.

Now I am loaded with work, translating document after document, email after email loaded with technicalities, some alien to me. THE BOSS is angry with this new setup. Just because I am here does not mean I can be their resident translator. That is not why I should be here, well, not entirely.

Maybe it’s time I get a formal training on this field and go to Japan? Gosh, I miss that place.

Hi G–well, you know what they say about work–if you want something done, give it to a busy person (they know how to get things done).

    Hope the day gets better!

Isn’t it just amazing how easily people shift work and once they start it is almost as if they can’t stop themselves. I hope they realize that they can’t send ALL the documents to you to translate
