Just like some miracle, our PC’s are back working and connected to the network just 24 hours after shifting to the new office. I was expecting it to take a little longer.
There are seven people in my department and I am the only female. The boss is sitting in another cubicle. The seating arrangement was decided and (un) fortunately, I am seated in the front most, facing the door. Fortunately because I won’t have to make my way among my colleagues in case I come in late but unfortunate because all of them will have a clear view of my computer monitor.
Someone was curious of the cockroaches that used to bug me in the old office. Yeah, they also roam in this building but not in the new room where my desk is. Well, at least they have not showed up to greet me just yet! I have seen some in the pantry but since I still decline the offer of milk tea served twice everyday, it does not bother me much.
There is minimal discomfort with this shift, like my phone line not working, the office boy failing to vacuum the carpet (some parts of the room are so dusty) but I feel renewed. Meebo is banned so no chance to chat. Coupled with wordpress being forbidden also, now I can concentrate more on work. :roll:
Oh, one more thing, although I can still access blogger and wordpress blogs, I can’t comment on blogger.

Also, what a terrible time to not be able to comment on Blogger blogs (the UBParty I mean); I had trouble the other night too, but it seems to be OK now for me.
